PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Students, Parents, and Well-wishers,

Warm greetings from Don Bosco High School, Kokrajhar!

It gives me immense pleasure to address you all as the Principal of this esteemed institution. At Don Bosco HS School, we believe that education is more than the accumulation of knowledge — it is the nurturing of curious minds and compassionate hearts. Guided by our school motto, “Explore & Excel”, we aim to foster an environment where every student is encouraged to discover their potential and strive for excellence in all spheres of life.

To explore is to question, to be curious, and to seek new horizons — both within and beyond the classroom. Our dedicated faculty ensures that students are given opportunities to engage in meaningful learning experiences, be it through academics, sports, cultural activities, or social service. We wish to awaken in them a love for learning that lasts a lifetime......

FOUNDER

John Bosco was born of a poor family on 16th August, 1815 at Becchi, a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Castelnuovo d’Asti (today Castelnuovo Don Bosco) in Italy. He lost his father, Francesco, at the age of two and his mother Margaret (Margherita) had to look after him and his two brothers Antonio and Guiseppe. It was under Mama Margaret that John Bosco learnt farming and praying. She was his inspiration in his growing years. It was Mama Margaret who taught him to see God in the beauty of creation, harvest, rain and above all in the face of the poor who came to their house for food and shelter.....
